Carlucci Earns Second Major Labor Endorsement in Congressional Race

(New City, NY) — Today, Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) received his second major labor endorsement for Congress. 

The Rockland County Building and Construction Trades Council (RCBCTC), made up of 21 active unions in Rockland County, endorsed Carlucci for New York’s 17th Congressional district. 

John Maria, Jr., President of the RCBCTC said, “We know Senator David Carlucci in Rockland, and he’s the candidate who will go to Washington and best represent working middle-class families. His record in the New York State Senate speaks for itself. He’s a supporter of workers’ benefits, higher wages, and will make sure the middle-class can thrive.” 

Senator David Carlucci said, “I am proud to have the support of the hardworking men and women of the Rockland County Building and Construction Trades Council. Our economy can only thrive when our union members are given the bargaining power to secure good benefits and fair wages. I am going to Washington to fight for living wages and accessible, quality health care. Unions know I will stand up for them against big corporate interests.”

The Rockland County Building and Construction Trades Council is the umbrella organization for 21 unions, which include, electrical workers, sheet metal workers, bricklayers, and more.
